The BIG KNITTED CHRISTMAS TREE project.
An art installation now displayed at St. James’ Church, Alveston until January 2024.
During 2023 we have been knitting squares and decorations for a 5 metre (17 ft) Christmas tree. We have hosted events and generally been having a lot of woolly fun.
Woolly Wednesdays will continue in 2024, as we sew the square ‘leaves’ together to make blankets for charity, and we bring other projects to enjoy together.
If you’d like some company, come along and join us at WEDNESDAY CRAFT CAFE, every other Wednesday from 2-4pm, at Stratford The Youth Hostel (Alveston). Check the calendar on our home page for dates.
We enjoy knitting and crafting together, there’s tea, coffee and delicious cake to buy, and a lot of fun and laughter.
Learn a new skill
Don’t worry if you can’t knit or haven’t done any crafts before, there’s always someone who will teach you.
